An Invitation to Feel

When the chambers of the heart pound from within, you know the soul calls out to be heard. The neglected cries of today already foretell that they cannot be denied anymore. Salvation or ruin awaits.

These clamors of desperation, shut down by the ever-motion of stuff and distractions — work, substances, things — are marshaled to protect an image that is not really our own; a collective struggle to re-find ourselves.

We break apart and mature within a devastating yet beautiful hall of distorted mirrors. Where can we find solace in the face of these disturbing reflections? The motion will not do it, not anymore. It blurs the quintessential image and stops us from seeing our core.

Stop, breathe, and pay unconditional attention. Children of the world, children of God, need not fear damnation within the matrix of creation. Look to nature, it is the purest mirror to our dual essence: divinity in, from, and of dirt. We need not condemn our instincts, habits, and ways of being. Everything has a place.

It is the birdsong, the laps of water at the shore, the late-night conversations, the gratitude, the compassion, true attention, and those passions wherein we find ourselves by losing ourselves, such things are where our soul reveals itself to us.

The unconditionally of being that soul opens up, its grace, is the true liberator from unnecessary suffering. It does so by opening up the gateway of acceptance and compassion for all that is, was, and will be.

Do not be afraid to open the door, to take the plunge into the waters of you. Just because it is scary and uncertain does not mean it will not be invaluable and true; it will heal you. The truth is these currents are already running beneath the surface, they’re already moving you from the deep.

Feel without reservation, without remorse, and without qualification. Let the love inherent in your nature and compassionate attention dissolve those feelings of guilt, shame, and grief.

Will you do this for yourself? Will you give yourself the chance to witness the abundance of beauty, appreciation, and love available in every moment?

Won’t you remember who you really are?
