The nature of fear and replacing it with gratitude

How do you dissolve the contagions of fear and anxiety?

Fear in its degrees is fundamentally about loss of what we have; it is the inversion of desire.

We notice two things about fear:

  1. Fear of loss tends to encourage the feared outcome
  2. 2. Fear of loss stops us from enjoying and making the most of what we have

Relationships, health, and possessions are just some of the objects of our fear. The remedy is to transform fear into gratitude, which is a potential inherent within fear.

Put it this way, all that you know will come to pass sometime, so why not cherish it while it is here!

My mum once said a very wise thing: ‘fear is wasted emotion’ – wasted energy, wasted life

You have every right to squeeze every drop of joy that life has to offer, you don’t have to let fear dilute that for you.

Check in with your body, be with it, sit with your fear, and watch it bloom into gratitude!
